FOUNTAIN INTERNATIONAL SEMINARY

Fountain International Seminary provides educational opportunities for current leaders in ministry. Founded by Dr. David Shamenda this school was established in order to help advance leaders and impart his wisdom accumulated over 35+ years of ministry experience. With a ministry experience-based doctor of ministry degree program Fountain International Seminary is perfect for current minsters who are looking to take the next step in their educational journey.

Fountain International Seminary focuses on meeting ministry leaders where they are and helping them develop.  Our experience-based Doctor of Ministry program allows for current leaders to use their ministry experience as the basis of their education.   Evaluating all prior ministry experience and developing additional areas of learning combine to help continue the education of current ministers.

Additionally Fountain International Seminary will be launching a 6-month leadership program for those who desire to become influential ministry leaders.  With a 4 month classroom intensive study and 2 month placement experience in a ministry environment this program desires to lay a solid foundation of leadership.  Using a biblically-based practical curriculum students will develop a strong foundation of knowledge and put it into practice.

Many if not all of us in the Ministry have gained experiences walking through ministry and family life, and very often we learn important lessons through these experiences.

Fountain International Seminary (FIS) will evaluate Lifelong Ministry Experiences gained in non-post secondary educational settings. The Seminary will use the evaluation in the appropriate guide as a source for determining what credit might be given. 

Credit by Lifelong Ministry Experience allows a students the opportunity to prepare a Lifelong Experience Portfolio describing specific work activities and life experiences and then to document the learning that has resulted from these experiences. FIS faculty members will evaluate the written portfolio and determine what credit may be given. After evaluation, you will be advised with the number of credit hours you may expect to receive through this program and the additional work required in order to receive the degree. 

Jesus calls his church the light of the world and a city that is set on a hill that should not be covered (Matthew 5:14-16). Fountain Leadership desires to build up leaders firm in their relationship with God and train and equip them with practical biblically based leadership principles to influence and lead ministries around the world. This program is designed to be an intensive 6 month school which utilizes powerful teaching, engaging encounters, and placement experiences to develop leader’s gifting. By studying biblical leaders and God’s principles for leadership we will raise up and send out leaders around the world who carry the passion of influencing culture and are equipped to do so successfully.
